One of our goals as a student chapter of AWM is to support underrepresented group towards a career in mathematics. For this, we organize different activities to present math as a worthwhile career path and to inform about the steps towards this goal.

Workshops with Defining Your Path - Field Trip Program

During the Fall 2019 have four workshops in collaboration with Defining Your Path-Field Trip Program. This initiative provides an opportunity for our student chapter to connect with the Salt Lake City community and to continue our efforts towards diversity, equity, and inclusivity in STEM.

We have planned a hands-on activity for each group and will have various volunteers from our department interacting with K-12 students.
